Massage for pain and injury
As a skilled clinical, sports and advanced myofascial release therapist, all sessions are tailored with the aim to effectively treat pain, injury and increase wellbeing. On our first meeting we will complete an initial consultation and postural assessment whereby we will be able to plan a course of care specific to your needs. Our aim is to reduce pain and injury within 1-6 sessions.
I use a combination of advanced massage and rehabilitation techniques including:
Soft Tissue Release
Sports Massage
Trigger Point therapy
Stretching and exercise rehabilitation
Breaking the pain cycle
Im really interested in the correlation between pain, social impact, mental health and how closely linked they are. Experiencing chronic pain or an injury can lead to taking medication, lack of sleep, anxiety and depression. Without treatment this can become a pain cycle, whereby mental health can be badly effected and this in turn can increase feelings of pain and anxiety. Massage can be an essential course of care to break the pain cycle and aim to increase mental wellbeing to allow both your body and mind to heal.
